Hi there,

I'm trying to synchronize my databases between our development environment and our staging environment.
Currently, SQL Compare 10 and SQL Data Compare 10 are installed on our development server. When I open any of the two tools, I can select the SQL server(s) on the development environment.

I was wondering if anybody can help me with step by step instructions on how to be able to view the SQL server(s) on my staging environments??

Thanks!

If this is a question about the list of SQL Servers that appear in the dropdown, the answer is SQL Compare/Data Compare/Packager can only pick up SQL Servers on the local network, or ones with a service record in your DNS, or ones that have an alias set up on the local computer. If you are going across networks, you can type in the name of the server, but it's not going to find them automatically.
