Compare values in sys tables

wdhenrikwdhenrik Posts: 15 Bronze 1
I want to compare some SQL Agent job definitions in the MSDB database.

SQL Compare can't see them because they are not "objects" and SQL Data Compare doesn't see the sys tables.

Any suggestions? It will save me a lot of time if i can use one of the comparison tools for this.

Thanks,
Wes

    Hi

Thank you for your forum post.

You cannot compare system objects or sys tables using SQL Compare or SQL Data Compare, which means you cannot compare SQL Agent job definitions. Sorry.

    Many Thanks

Please add comparing sys tables into the options menu. I can understand why you wouldn't want them to be included in the default settings, but this could be very useful.

    Hi

    Thank you for your reply.

I recommend that you add a comment and place vote in this SQL Data Compare User Voice Forum TOPIC.

The User Voice fourm provides the means for other users to see the Feature Requests received and vote for their favourite suggestions.
