Expiration option and report/log files

Hi,

I use the expiration option to remove old backups (transaction and database). Unfortunately it is not removing the report/log file generated at the time of the backup.

Is there a fix for this?

Regards,

Rob

There isn't an option to delete the log files in version 3. Version 4 will have this option.

  • Will v4 also use the same timestamp for the name of the report/log as is used for the .sqb file?

Can you give a hint when v4 will be available?

  • And since I'm asking... how about an option to use a file extension for the report/log (eg .RPT). Not having an extension is a bit annoying. But what is really really annoying is the report and .sqb file's timestamp component of the file name not matching. So if I had to choose I would choose match the timestamps, delete expired reports/logs, add file extension to report/log.

    :)
