Show History not being filtered

When I right click on an object in the database and choose Show History the window that appears takes 3-5 minutes to populate and shows all changes in the database. The window shows in the top left the path to the object I clicked on, but it is not filtering by that. What can I do to filter the history to only show the object I am interested in?

Show history on an object will show all revisions for which the object has changed, for each revision the tool will show all objects changed in that revision. It will highlight and show the change for the object chosen for each revision.

There is not currently a method to only show the changes to the object chosen for each revision.
