Installation Failed

Installation halted while the status was : "Configuring IIS Features...", bringing up the dialog ..

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of this setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personal or package vendor".

The install created a file MSIdca1f.log, the contents of which are (in full)..

What can I do in order to get this installed?

  • Hi,

    This is a problem with installing/enabling IIS on the target machine. It's normally caused by the IIS installation requiring a reboot, which you can fix by rebooting the machine and then re-running the installation.

    That solved it thanks. There was a sneaky windows patch requiring a reboot....
