Error when using Aggregate function

Hi,

In SQL server 2012 when writing queries containing aggregate functions or functions using parantheses ( DATEADD, DATEDIFF, ...) following error is thrown:
The type initializer for '<|' threw an exception.
whereas the < in the message is a full triangle, but i wasn't able to copy the character.
SQL Prompt tries to send te error report but isn't able to. I'm not able to save the error report either.

I'm running:
SQL Prompt 5.3.6.28 SSMS 11.0.3128.0 .NET Framework 4.0.30319.269

Any idea what might be the problem?

Hans

Many thanks for your post and apologies for inconvenience caused.

Do you get an option to send an error report something similar to this?

If yes can you send the error report and make sure you enter your email address and let me know once you do it?

Also reply me the email address you used to send the report?

    Anu,

I feel kind of silly, but i'm no longer able te reproduce the error. For the last 2 months i consistantly got this error when writing queries using functions containing parantheses and as of this morning it seems to work just fine.
    I'm puzzled.

As for the Error report, it was similar to the dialogue you linked to, but i was never able te send the error (using the email address hans dot stuer at zna dot be). I couldn't save the error report either, so unfortunately i'm not able to send you any.

I'm kind of hoping the error will reappear because hate not being able to tell why this changed!

    Kind regards,

    Hans

    Not a problem.

Recently did you upgraded your SQL Compare?
