Extended Property UI Mismatch

The display of mismatched extended properties is incorrect.

If I add an extended property to an SQL Server database (2000, 2008 tested) and, if the new extended property is displayed amidst other, existing extended properties in SQL Compare then the new property causes the other properties to shift down.
This can cause numerous extended properties to be marked as "different".
However, when the script is examined, it correctly shows that the only update is to add the new extended property.

Is there a way to prevent these erroneous false-mismatches in the UI?

Thanks.

  • Hi Paul,

Right now there isn't a way to avoid this, but we'd really appreciate it if you put this up on our UserVoice forum here:

We use UserVoice to track which suggestions users really want to see in the product, and it lets us be a little more open with you as well. The developers check it regularly and often comment on submissions - the SQL Compare one is fairly new, so it doesn't have that many submissions or votes yet, but we've had similar forums up for other tools like SQL Prompt, and we've seen a lot of positive results.

    Thanks for your feedback!
