Move Archive Server

Hello
I have been using ESA in "copy Entire message" mode and it has been working fine, but the server ESA currently sits on is an old box that i am replacing.
I have installed ESA on the new server and this time would like to use "full archive" mode to free up space on exchange. I have set a rule on my mailbox to process all mails over over 3 years old, but when running the rule no messages are archived.
This is most likely due to the messages been marked as archived on the old server in copy mode. Is there a way to reset the archive on the old server and then start a full archive of the mailbox on the new server?
