6.5 Constant Out Of Memory Exception on 24gb computer

A project which builds without problem in 6.2.2.215 always throws an Out Of Memory exception when building in version 6.5. The project simply can't be built in 6.5 even after a clean reboot with no other applications open.

6.2 uses 35mb of ram during a build. 6.5 uses over 1gb of memory building the same project. The PC has 24gb of ram and nothing else is running.

I have had to uninstall 6.5 and go back to 6.2.2.215.

Between 6.2 and 6.5 we re-architected the SA engine, which made many builds faster. It also increased the memory usage in some circumstances. If you encountered this issue while embedding a large number of assemblies, we believe the problem will be fixed by SA 6.6 due in January 2012. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • i am seeing this a bunch as well. seems to happen any time i rebuild a project more than once and when trying to write out the SA'ed binary.

restarting SA usually works, but sometimes it takes a few attempts before it works

i will try out 6.6 when it is available
