Comparing Between Domains

Will the Compare tool work if we have a development server in one domain and the production server in another domain?

    Hello,

    As long as you can get a TCP connection on port 1433, that's all that matters. The discovery may not work though, so you'd need to know either the FQDN of the server or the IP address, then you can manually type it into the server box.
