how to control Database Extended Properties

Using SQL Source Control V2.1.0.31
I added a Version extended property at the Database level. I do not get the opportunity to check it in.
However, I changed a table level extended property and checked it in.
It appears that table level extended properties work, but database level extended properties do not work.

Currently, DB level extended properties aren't handled too well - in theory they should be automatically committed when other objects are; however this doesn't seem to be very consistent.
We do have an existing development task (SC-3296) to get this working properly, but it's not been done yet I'm afraid.
