Getting the following error on one of our old Windows 2000 / SQL server 2000 boxes

Monitoring stopped (Incorrect credentials or insufficient permissions)

11 Apr 2011 8:27 AM Registry GetBinaryValue: \\medartifax\HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA\4838 4702 4780 4756 4828 4764 4908 4880 Incorrect credentials or insufficient permissions Win32Exception Access is denied

I had to add in the performance counters. Server is getting decommissioned soon so not urgent.

Account is a member of local administrators in windows and sysadmin role in SQL server

Seems to be some permissions issues going on as cant seem to access the remote registry without it prompting for logging on.

Are you getting these permissions issues when performing the remote registry tests that Priya suggested or only within SQL Monitor?

I am getting the prompts when performing the remote registry tests.

This is our only SQL server which isnt in the domain (just in a workgroup) and is a windows 2000 / SQL Server 2000. I havent had a chance to do more testing. Will post back findings when I do.
