SQL Compares blows up

When I compare my database to another, or even to intself, I get a dialog that says:

The column prefix "sysconstraints" does not match with a table name or alias used in the query.

The message is repeated several times.

Clicking OK is my only option. Compare results are never display.

Please help. Obviously, the tool is of no use to me until I can overcome this fatal error.

    Hello,

Since sysconstraints is a system table, I'd wager that you are using an outdated version of SQL Compare against a SQL 2005 database.

If you are comparing a SQL 2005 database, then please use the check for updates feature to get the latest version. Only the current version of SQL Compare has any support for SQL Server 2005.

If this is not the problem, please let me know.
  • Unfortunately, I am using SQL Server 2000.

My database is small, < 3MB. If you like, I can email it to you if it would help you dignose the problem.
  • I Downloaded the latest version of your app and the problem went away. Apparantly you fixed this problem.
