  • more info, the disk i try to restore to have over 200G space, the sqb file is only 30G
  • Have you tried to stop and start the HyperBac service (taking any compressed SSC or SVR databases offline first), then test again

  • Hi, I have to put the mdf file and ldf file on speperate disk, and use script to run it, i don't know why even though there is enough disk space, the wizard didn't work.
  • yes, each time i changed the config file, i restart the service
  • Are you able to try a higher value for VirtualDiskSize? Try 1000 for instance.

  • Hi guys - Any update on this I am getting the same issue..

    getting this error:
There is insufficient free space on disk volume 'D:\' to create the database. The database requires 977621483520 additional free bytes, while only 79303319552 bytes are available.
    RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

    Exception Message:
VirtualDiskSize setting required: add the line 'VirtualDiskSize=911' to hyperbac.conf. See http://www.red-gate.com/SVR/v2.1/VirtualDiskSize for more details.

But I have added this: VirtualDiskSize=911
to the config - restarted and still the same error..
