Frequent out of memory errors

When running SA (5.5), if I rerun frequently to adjust settings (while using the GUI), after about 10-15 build cycles, I regularly get:
Internal Error
System.OutOfMemoryException : Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
This happens at the start of a build cycle, and pretty much requires a full restart of the program.
What is odd, however, is that SA is very rarely using a lot of memory at the time.
