Hanging when profiling Silverlight

I'm evaluating the profiler and have a trial version, and am specifically interested in profiling Silverlight application performance. I'm finding that any time I try to profile Silverlight that the UI appears to hang with a busy message that says "Summarizing results". I've left it for up to 10 minutes and it never finishes. The problem does not occur when profiling a web application.

What am I doing wrong?

Environment is Windows 7 64-bit, IE8, Silverlight 4

  • Might be worth trying the attach to .net 4 process option to see if you get any different results.

    Failing that gather up the logs (found under the help menu, open log folder option) and email them to support @ red-gate .com with F0041142 in the subject line.
