Myapplication.exe is not a .NET executable

Hi,

I have downloaded 14 days free trail ANTS Profiler 2.5.
My program is running slowly :? , I am trying different profilers as Rational-purify, glowCode and ANTS... In Order to choose which of them I will buy.

I have downloaded 14 days free trail ANTS Profiler 2.5.
I just followed the instructions to profile performances and I have the error :
"Myapplication.exe is not a .NET executable"


My config :
- ANTS Profiler Version 2.5.0, Build 492
- .NET CF Version: 7.1.3088, Visual Studio.NET 2003
- Framework 1.1 version: 1.1.4322 SP1

Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to how I can narrow the problem down. Thanks.

    Hi there,

    my name is Tom Harris; I'm responsible for ANTS Profiler here at Red Gate. I'm sorry that you are running into problems getting going with the product. From your brief summary I am wondering whether you are trying to profile an app that runs against the .NET Compact Framework. If so, then ANTS Profiler will not work. This is becuase the Compact Framework has a separate architecture that does not support the profiling API. I'm afraid that this is true across all the vendors.

    Do let us know if this is not the issue.
