Incorrectly Formed Media using Disabled Compression

Hi everyone -
i cant seen to restore my database when i configure Hyperbac with these settings:
#1 using the trial version of Hyperbac 5 on a Sql 2005 box
#2 FILE PATH tab shows my correct path for backups
#3 EXTENSION tab registered .BAK
#4 COMPRESSION tab shows "DISABLED"
#5 ENCRYPTION tab shows "DISABLED"
#6 FORMAT tab shows "Backup format only" no checkboxes checked
#7 AFFINITY is not enabled
when i make a backup of my 6GB database, the file size amazingly comes out to 51MB. However, i can not restore this file i always receive the
"incorrectly formed" error.
using the WinExtractor, the file inflates to 6GB. i can not restore this file either.
i can not restore the file using SQL Virtual Restore.
oddly enough, if i "ENABLE" compression the size of the compressed database is 2.2GB. I can restore this compressed file.
Why does the "ENABLE" compress to 2.2GB and the "DISABLE" compression shrinks to 51MB? what does hyperbac compress during the "DISABLE" compression? Is there a way for me to restore this 51MB file?
thanks,
ryan
