Can files from SQL-Backup 6 be used?

Hi,

I was wondering if I can use the backup-files created with Redgate SQL-Backup? :?:

Everytime I try it I get at Step 2 the following message:
Error occurred when scanning backup files
Data is Null. This method or property cannot be called on Null values.
:(

(By the way, the error message is shown on the very bottom of the window and I can not read it, because most of the text is out of the window. I have to click on it to read it. I could provide you with a screenshot if needed!)

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Regards,

Thorsten

  • Hi Thorsten,

Thanks for your post. Is there any chance you can send that screenshot to support(at)red-gate.com so we can have a look at it?

Also, can you confirm which version of SQL Backup was this file taken using and also is it encrypted or not?

    Many thanks!

  • Hi Peter,

    thanks für your answer.
I will send you a screenshot in a few minutes.

    I'm using SQL Backup 6.4.0.56 on a SQL-Server 2005.
The file was not encrypted and I used CompressionLevel 3.

    I hope this helps.

  • Hi Thorsten,

Sorry for the delay on this one. This is still being looked into here however has so far been unreproducible. We do however have a new vrsion of HyperBac planned for release next week which I was going to ask you to try. There has been some work done on the timeout issue area and I am hoping that this version will work better for you.

I will be in touch directly when it is available.
