Hi, are you going to support dot .net Framework 4 and if so do you have a timeframe/roadmap ? Also I see it supports 3.5 does this include sp1 ?
Thanks
I'm getting the "Status = Unknown" message for my 4.0 assemblies. I can get it to parse some DLLs that I've compiled against 4.0, but most DLL and all EXE files I try come back "Unknown".
Do you have any timescales on when we can expect Exception Hunter to run on .Net 4 code? Been following this for a while now and there doesn't seem to have been any progress on this. Can you let us know what's going on please?
As with a previous poster, I get Status Unknown and cannot get past this. I’ve tried .dll and .exe, all compiled against 4.0 – no success. Any suggestions?
This page (http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/C ... ion_Hunter\knowledgebase\eh_limitations.htm) says new versions aren't being sold any longer but you can get v3 if you a have support contract and use Help/Check for Updates in EH2.1.
The .NET Dev Bundle download still only provides EH2.1.
It looks like EH3 may be retiring soon or is some sort of interim release to provide basic .NET4 support, possibly, until it can be revamped to remove some of the limitations mentioned in the KB article. Hard to say at this point.
The .NET Developer Bundle download does not contain Exception Hunter for serial numbers issued since 15th June 2011 (serial numbers starting 516). If you have an older serial number (starting 508), the bundle contains Exception Hunter 2.1.

Yes 3.5 SP1 is supported.
Is there a timeline for the EH3?

"this year" is last year -- any news on release dates?
The support page (http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/P ... n%20Hunter) shows version 3.0 in the header, but it does not seem to be listed under the .NET Developer tools in the products area.

I can confirm that EH3 has been released, and contains .NET 4 support.
Unfortunately, because of the number of new exceptions in .NET 4 and WPF, we have had to retire Exception Hunter. You can find the announcement at http://www.red-gate.com/products/dotnet-development/exception-hunter/
