Feature request - Exclude OFFLINE dbs in db selection window

I am not sure if it's currently done, but in the last week while we moved many databases, we had to go in and manually de-select Offline databases for the SQL Backup jobs

In the Backup Databases Selection window (either via the Manual backup, or Schedule Backup Job method), the checkbox to "Filter List to show only databases eligible for the chosen backup type"

I would imagine OFFLINE databases are not eligible for ANY kind of backup type, and thus should not be available to SELECT/DE-SELECT

Another question:
Are OFFLINE/SIMPLE mode detected at run-time, or job-creation time?
e.g. are the backup jobs smart enough to exclude OFFLINE at run-time, or SIMPLE recovery mode databases for TLOG backup?

Please see the screen shots

Thanks for your post and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

I tired to replicate the issue but it grays out the Database if Offline/Restoring/Suspect mode.

Can you kindly confirm the version of SQL Backup you are using?

You can know the detailed version of SQL Backup by navigating in SQL Backup UI by selecting Help --> About SQL Backup and version number is displayed on bottom right.

I have SQL Backup 6.4.0.56 as Client
and on all the servers as well

I have always had this issue for OFFLINE databases since 6.3 though

FYI: I got the screen from double-clicking on a scheduled Backup job

    I just did it again
    - intentionally take MDW db offline
    - refresh in SQL Backup
    1. I see MDW greyed out when I do "manual backup" = GOOD
    2. I double click on my current FULL/DIFF jobs, I see MDW in "Orange" = BAD

so I think that's only the place it happens, so I think it's still a bug unfortunately :) Hopefully gone in 6.5 version

I would classify as a bug rather than a feature :P

but thanks for accommodating me, and hope to see it in 6.5 (or 7.0)
