Generated script...#tmpErrors create table duplicate
The following script code is being generated from a compare between a script folder and a database. As you can see the default generated script code includes twice the "CREATE TABLE #tmpErrors (Error int)". The second one is causing the error. What is the cause of this problem? Any workaround? Thanks in advance, Jonathan… -
Disable sp_refreshview
Discussion by brigzy · · Home› Discontinued and Previous Versions› SQL Data Compare Previous VersionsHi I am having trouble as sp_referesh view is included in the script generated by SQLCompare command line. When running the script on the destination server\database, the script errors as the view refferes to a 'another' database that is not on the destination server. The generated script is creating an sp_refresh for… -

Non-CL Index should DROP NCL First
Discussion by annabelledodd · · Home› Discontinued and Previous Versions› SQL Compare Previous VersionsI could be wrong, but I thought it was more efficient when changing the PK and dropping a non-clustered Index on the same table to drop the non-clustered index first, then drop the PK. In my case, I swapped the PK sequence of the 3rd and 4th columns along with dropping an obsolete index. SC drops the PK then the… -

Bug in rollback scripts,
It seems that you cannot handled cases with roles, being owned by a user. Repro Create 2 empty database, Test1 and Test2 execute the script below on Test1. Do a Sql Comparsion between Test1 and Test2. select both the user and role, and synchronize Test2 into Test1, meaning the user and role should be dropped. However it… -
Remove tempdb..sysobjects from Compare Script
Is there a way to have the engine not create this line in the output script? GO IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM tempdb..sysobjects WHERE id=OBJECT_ID('tempdb..#tmpErrors')) DROP TABLE #tmpErrors GO We want to make our resulting scripts work on local servers and Azure and this is keeping it from working. As Azure doesn't like that…
