Unable to assign Alias to 'SQL Server - Azure - Elastic Pool' Instances

Because Azure delights in such meaningful server names, I find the ability to set an alias name to instances on the Overview tab very helpful.
However, it appears that I can assign an alias to Managed Instances, but not Azure SQL instances (Elastic Pool).
With the managed Instance, clicking on the three ellipses gives me the options 'Pin, Alias, Navigate To', but for Elastic Pool I just see 'Pin, Navigate To'.
Is there another way to assign an alias on the Overview tab?

Hi,
Unfortunately we don't have the functionality to add an Alias onto Elastic pools at present, I would suggest raising this request on the UserVoice site, votes on these suggestions can help prioritise future features!
Sorry not able to offer you a solution for this currently.
