is there a way to hide old versions of query in SQL history search? With the versioning, the results are very messy and hard to find the one needed.

Hi, thank you for your forum post.
If you click on the icon to show open queries to the right of the recent queries label, you can filter items based on the:
    • Object type
    • Search period
    • Server
    • Database
    Also further reading available here.
I hope the above answers your question.

    Hi Eddie,

Than is great advice. But it only applies to open queries. How to apply the same filters to closed query history?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.

If you click on the closed queries icon, you will see the same filter.

If you're specifically interested in SQL Search, but want to focus on the most recent versions of queries, you might consider organizing your scripts in a way that helps you identify and filter the most relevant ones. This could involve naming conventions, folders, or other organizational strategies.

For the latest and most accurate information, I recommend checking the official Redgate documentation or contacting Redgate support to inquire about any new features or updates that may have been introduced since my last update.
