Need help with SQL Server database backup

Hi everyone,
I'm currently experiencing trouble utilizing Red Gate's SQL Backup Pro application to backup my SQL Server database. I've been using this tool for a long, and up until recently, I haven't had any issues.
I always get an error notice when I try to backup the database, saying that it failed because of a "disc write error." I've verified that there is adequate space on the disc for the backup file, therefore I'm not sure what could be the root of this problem.
Has anyone else experienced this problem before? If so, how did you resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your forum post.
Is there a log file generated for the failed backup? If the answer is yes, are there any SQL Server and SQL Backup exit codes generated? If yes, can you please list them as this will help in identifying the cause of the error?
Many Thanks
