Flyway Desktop is now available for SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases
Flyway Desktop helps you easily version control changes to your database objects (tables, procedures, functions, etc.). It also generates SQL migration scripts to integrate into your Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines to safely deploy database changes to other environments (Test, Staging, Production).
The preview of SQL Server was released in September 2021 and we’re excited that we now offer full support for on-premise SQL Server databases, Azure SQL Databases, and Azure SQL Database Managed Instances. (We also support Oracle databases and will be adding full support for PostgreSQL in 2022 with support for MySQL also planned. Get in touch for more details about these additional databases.)
With a SQLServer cloud database focus, Flyway Desktop supports the various authentication methods needed for secure connections:
- Windows Authentication
- SQL Server Authentication
- Azure Active Directory Integrated Authentication
- Azure Active Directory Password Authentication
- Azure Active Directory Universal with MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)
In addition to tracking all the changes made to each database object, it also generates migration scripts to be used in your CI/CD pipelines. It integrates with any CI/CD system including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and more via a command line or docker container.
If you are interested in including your databases as part of your CI/CD process, then visit our website to learn more and request a demo.
