SQL Compare command line /scripts2 file encoding

I'd like to have SQL Compare to output UTF8 with BOM, however when I try the /SyncScriptEncoding option, I get this error: The /syncScriptEncoding switch cannot be used without the /scriptfile switch.

The /scripts2 file encoding can't be changed using /syncScriptEncoding, that command only changes the encoding of the deployment script generated using the /ScriptFile command (which is why it indicates the /ScriptFile switch is needed). There is not a way within SQL Compare to set the encoding of the scripts folders themselves, you will need to use another utility that specifically converts the files
