SQL logic error near ")":syntax error

in SQL Compare
when I attempt to run a sql compare between a redgate generated sql backup and our live database we get the following error

SQL logic error near ")":syntax error

any help would be appreciated

    Hi @Mike_Vessey77,

    I've just been in touch via a support ticket to gather further information as my initial test of this backing up a simple SQL 2017 database with compression level 4 and encryption with a 256-bit key is working as a target in SQL Compare version 13.7.12.

    I will update here once we have progressed the investigation via the ticket!
