Errors selecting backups

Does this work with 2014 backups. I receive the error "The Buffer Doesn't appear to be Compressed"

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    Unfortunately, Object Level Recovery does not support SQL 2014. We've also stopped all development work for OLR, so there are no plans for this tool to support 2014. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    What is the alternative to object level restore? I am a little concerned that I just purchased the toolkit which as discontinued tools in it...
