Cleaning up Deployment Agent cache

A recent Deployment Manager release introduced the "Purge old deployments" feature, which is great for helping to clean up our target machines. However, it looks like it doesn't clean the corresponding packages out of the Deployment Agent cache folders (default of C:\Program Data\Red Gate\DeploymentAgent\Applications\.Agent\Packages).
Is there any sort of process that's supposed to be cleaning up old packages from this cache (either automatically, or when using "Purge old deployments"), or can it only be done manually? When doing it manually, are there any caveats to keep in mind?
Admittedly, we did not use the default folder for the DA data (we put it on another drive). So if there's a built-in process that's supposed to do the cleanup, but it's looking in the wrong place, that may be why it's not working.
