Hello,

i set the option "close succes page on succesful check-in and get latest".
I close the application.
I open the application: setting is correct.

I am logging off (Windows Server 2008 R2)
I am logging in and the option is not set.
Also the welcome page appears and all defined projects are not available anymore.

I tried using compatibilty mode and "run as administrator" but it doesn't work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you in advance,
Michael

  • Could you check your settings area before you logout and after you login again as it sounds like there could be something wiping the directories on your network login.

For example my projects are stored in...

    C:\Users\richard.mitchell\AppData\Local\Red Gate\Source Control for Oracle 2

The settings (I think) are stored in...

    C:\Users\richard.mitchell\AppData\Local\RedGate_Software

    Red Gate Software Ltd

This could also be the famous "your profile is corrupt and you are working from a temporary profile" issue with Windows. So you may want to see if there are warnings in the Windows event log from the source "userenv" about a corrupt profile.
  • If the software was not installed to permit local application settings i.e. it was installed by an administrator as a shared application, then the settings area may not be writable. Worse, you might be running over Citrix or somesuch. This could cause loss of settings once you logout....

It is possible, however, that the Oracle Source Control software is not writing to the correct profile area, I suppose...
