use Operators Mailing instead of SQL Backup native mailing

hi everyone!
im totally new to SQL Backup. I'm currently playing with it and noticed that SQL Backup use is own mailing system.
I would like to know if its possible to configure SQL Backup to use the SQL Server mailing system instead. That way, it would use the Operators strategy that we have implemented there.
Is it possible?
