.net executable

Dumb question (dumb user!): does creating a .net executable mean that the server on which the db is to be installed needs to have .net running?

    Hello,

    Yes -- the package needs the runtime profided by the .Net Framework available as it's runtime environment. This is a free download from Microsoft, and is also included by default with Windows Server 2003.
