Problem with copying backup to network feature

I get "Folder does not exist" no matter what I've tried. I'm using the same local admin login/pwd on each server for the service as directed if not using domain accounts. The login is a local admin and remote desktop user.

Has anyone had issues like this and if so were you able to resolve? thanks

  • Have you checked the permissions on the folder itself? Have you turned on sharing? and specified the UNC path (e.g. //mymachine/myfolder/).

When copying to a network share, SQL Backup uses the SQL Backup Agent service startup user credentials to access the network share. Does that user have read/write access to your network share?

    Thanks.
