Feature Request: More control over email alerts.

Hi,
The ability to get email alerts is fantastic and a definite life saver, however we do get a constant stream of emails. We were hoping to get better control of alerts and in particular the following two features if possible.
1. It would be really useful to have more information in the email about the alert in question. This would allow offsite/on-call administrators/developers make a reasonable decision if there is an actual problem that requires immediate attention or not without having to VPN in to check each alert.
2. Selected filtering of messages based on a filter, say regex or wildcard. The situation is this, we want to be notified of long running queries that may be impacting our system thus needing immediate attention but certain queries such as certain reports we don't want to fire off an email as we know they are fine and an administrator can deal with it during the normal course of they're job.

Thanks a lot for your feedback and post.
1. Regarding more information in email, could you give some example as what exact information would be interesting for you?
I should mention that in V 2.2, emails do not contain Job names. This was one of the most highly requested feature from our users. This has been implemented internally and would be released as part of V 2.3 release. So would be really interested to know what more information would be useful to you.
