Time range for alerts

Hi,
It would be useful if we could configure alert rules to only apply to certain time ranges.
For example, On one of our server we do log backups on the hours, every hour apart from 5AM where a full backup occurs. I have configured the rule to alert us if there is no log backup for 1 hour. This is fine in general but alerts are raised (as you would expect) for the 5AM period where no log backup occurs. I could change the rule to 2 hours but then I wouldn't get alerts as quickly.
I could also see the benefit of this for other rules, i.e. long runnign query - could exclude time ranges where maintenance / reindexing occurs.
Cheers,
Rhys

SQL Monitor v2.2 should include Maintenance Windows functionality. This will allow users to specify certain time periods during which no alerts are raised. I think that this will solve your issue.

The 2.2 release does include the Maintenance windows feature which allows you to temporarily suspend alerting for defined periods.
SQL Monitor 2.2 is now available for download at http://www.red-gate.com/sqlmonitor.
