Having to restore transaction logs one at a time

I've had this problem but not all the time.
When I restore transaction logs, I have to restore them one at a time because one of two problems happen:
1) I get a popup box that just displays a dollar sign and no files selected show up in the list.
2) The files will show up in the list but the second file will say it's not part of the backup set. When I run them one at a time, they run fine.
this is a very tedious problem and makes restores take a long time.

- are you referring to the GUI process of restoring multiple log files, or the xproc/cmd line?
- what version of SQL Backup are you using?
