In the Windows Service Manager, select the SQL Backup Agent service for the ODOP instance. Open the properties for that service. Does the file actually exist in the 'Path to executable' property?

    Thanks.

Hi Peter - the file does exist on the drive specified in that path. I checked and my logon users have read write to that path.

    Thanks...

Does the SQL Backup Agent service startup user have read/write rights to that directory? Quickest way to check would be to just set the service startup user to LocalSystem and see if the service can be started.

If that fails, could you please check if a file named zlib1.dll is present in the same directory that SQBCoreService.exe is located?

    Thanks.

Peter - that file was not there. So I decided to uninstall what was installed and reinstall. All is good now.

Thank you for your help. It has been greatly appreciated. :D
