I have received the following errors during the backup process;
VDI error 1010: Failed to get the configuration from the server because the timeout interval has elapsed. SQL Backup required 25,165,824 bytes of free SQL Server memory, which was not available. You can reduce the memory requirements by reducing the number of threads used in the backup. VDI error: An abort request is preventing anything except termination actions.
SQL error 18210: BackupVirtualDeviceSet::Initialize: Request large buffers failure on backup device 'SQLBACKUP_A7CFD8F4-094A-4FB2-8264-C6496A0C7DA3'. Operating system error 0x8007000e(Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.).
What is this error for? I have changed the threads to 2 from 4 and it makes a difference for a short while then they return. We upgraded from 5 to 6.2 and never recieved any errors for the year it has been running. the server is a 8 core 4GB server 2003, sql2005 box. the drive has 110GB free and the log shipping drive has 15GB free

Also you may be low on VAS so you might need to look at using the -g switch at startup.
