How the license works for clustered SQL Server 2005

Hi,
We have Active\Active\Passive cluster setup. Node1 has 1 instance and node3 has 3 instances. If we buy SQL Response, do we need to pay for each node or for whole cluster setup just one license is fine? how actually the licensing works in this scenario.

SQL Response is licensed per physical SQL Server, irrespective of instances.
For a cluster you will require a license for each node. In your case, you will need 3 licenses. Typically our sales team will be able to negotiate you some sort of discount for passive node licenses.
