I've lost access to my repository since I upgraded to the release version of the client. I can't upgrade the repository (same machine as sql response client) until the network admin is free to set it up (user account is not mine that it runs under). It would be helpful if the upgrade of the repository itself was not a requirement, or if an option was available to upgrade its software through the client without needing/losing its credentials that it runs under.

  • Hi Lewis,

Due to changes made to SQL Response between the release candidate and the final release, we've had enforce an upgrade of both the client and the repository.

We hopefully won't have to do this for every point release.

    Cheers,

  • Great.

If this does appear to happen again though, can you setup the install package to provide a warning first? Had I known, I would have waited until the network admin was available before I upgraded my client.
  • Hi Lewis,

In future, this sort of thing will be detailed in the product release notes.
