Hi,
I am looking to migrate my SQL2000 databases to a new server running Windows 2008 server & SQL2008 standard.
1 - Will SQL Backup be OK to run on this?
2 - Can I simply uninstall the current version on 2000, the reinstall on 2008 and request another keycode?
Thanx

I did see that post but it doesnt mention anything about how to reactivate the licence on another server?
I am going to install the 14 day trial on the 2008 server but will need to input my original keycode I got, how do I do that?
Thanx again
Gary
First of all you will need to deactivate SQL Backup on your SQL 2000 Server, you can download the deactivation tool from :
http://www.red-gate.com/supportcenter/G ... oducts.htm
Once you have successfully deactivated your serial number you can activate it on your new SQL Server 2008 machine.
To do this simply right click the server in the SQL Backup GUI and choose Activate License, you can then enter your serial number and activate SQL Backup.
I hope this helps.
