***Edit/Update*** Not sure what changed, maybe bad cache? Cosmic Space dust? Either way the menu's are not greyed out anymore so I'm good. Still weird, but as long as it works right?

Basically I got a new machine and whilst the Manage License Menu shows that I am Licensed, most of menu and functions of sql prompt are greyed out.
SQL Prompt Version: 10.6.4.18350
SSMS Version: 18.8
OS: Win 10 Pro

Steps I've tried so far would be removing my license through the web portal, and then refreshing the license in ssms. Doing this caused me to move onto a trial of sql prompt, however most of the menu options were still greyed out. Had my license re added and it shows licensed again, however the issue persists.

Thoughts?

  • Hi @kstout

Thanks for posting, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with SQL Prompt.

Would you be able to try upgrading to the latest version of SQL Prompt (10.6.5) to see if the issue still remains?

If you after the upgrade, you still have the same issue, please could you provide a screenshot of your greyed out SQL Prompt menu?

Thanks Sara B! The issue resolved itself after a while. I'm not sure ultimately what fixed it, however I'm just super glad it is working fully again.
