Metadata stops working after auto-open of sql-files

When opening management studio, previously opened files are automatically opened.
Since a couple of weeks, these files will contain a lot of squiggly red lines. Existing objects are not recognized, nor hoverable. I see "invalid object name [existing table name]" for tables that exist.
refreshing cache (ctrl+shift+d) does nothing, it also is extremely fast, usually takes a couple of seconds.

If i save the file, close it and re-open it, the redgate cache starts working.

  • Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty with SQL Prompt.

Please could you confirm which version of SQL Prompt and Management Studio you are using?

    Thanks,

  • Hi @Joelg,

The squiggly red lines are actually from SSMS rather than SQL Prompt.

I'll reach out shortly by email so that we can take a deeper look at the issue for you.
    Kind regards
