Network hiccups causing loss of monitoring

RJPRJP Posts: 3 New member
Some of our SQL Servers are in remote locations.  When there is a network hiccup, the monitor will fall into a "cannot connect - credentials" state and has to be manually reset.  Anyone else with this experience?  Suggestions on how to address it?

    Hi @RJP,

Sorry to hear you're running into an issue!

Just to confirm, what is the exact error message you're seeing when it falls into that state?

@Jessica R- thanks for responding.  "Monitoring stopped (host machine credentials)" OR "(SQL Server Credentials)".  Occasionally it picks it back up by itself within a few minutes, other times we check in in the morning and see that it's been down all night.  We have chased a couple of these down and they all relate to a loss of network at the time of the failure.

Thanks @RJP! When things didn't pick back up automatically, do you know how long the network had been down? (I believe there may be a threshold for how long it will attempt to reconnect and it will stop attempting after a certain period.)
