Why can't I match longest running queries report tile to a long running query alert

A co-worker told me I had better look at one of his sql monitor reports because I had a query that was taking longer than a day to run. He has the Longest running queries tile included in his report. I cannot find a query alert with anywhere near the duration he showed. Is that report tile perhaps adding up the total time a given query ran over several executions? His report was for the duration of a week.

Hi, thank you for your forum post.

    You ask an excellent question.

I believe the Longest running queries tile is the total cumulative time over the reporting period selected.  However, I cannot find any documentation that supports my suspicion.  I will update this post, once I have confirmation.

    Many Thanks

Hi, following on from my previous update.

I can confirm that the Longest running queries tile is the total cumulative time over the reporting period selected.  As you thought, the tile is adding up the time taken on each execution of the query for the reporting period selected.

    Many Thanks
