SQL Change Automation - Visual Studio 2019 Extension "Log out" link not working

Hi, I am a new user using a machine of a previous user which is no longer with the company. When trying the logout link to activate license with my user name the log out link doesn't work. I tried re-installing the extension but didn't work either. Is there any location to clear profile data cached by redgate? Thanks

  • Hi @cyanes

As you're unable to log out can you please try deleting "C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\Shared Client\UserTokens.dat" and restart the Redgate Client windows service?

You should then be able to log in.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your answer. Actually after completing installation of a sql clone product outside visual studio everthing started to work. It looks some old profile data got flushed out by the installation. I was able to log in from within visual studio and complete the activation process after that.
  • Glad to hear that you're up and running @cyanes
