Upgrades SSMS to 18.2 today and SQL Prompt not available.   Works fine under 17.n.

Same issue with SQL Search.  Attempting to install says "already installed":.

    Hi @ejs

Unfortunately, to get Redgate SSMS extensions to appear in SSMS 18 you'll need to uninstall and reinstall, after which they should appear.

Please get in touch if you have any other issues.

    Thanks,

Is the development team working on a fix for this?

Uninstalling and reinstalling did do the trick.  Fortunately, it appears that my settings were preserved.

Not terribly elegant but it works.

    Hi @ejs

Glad to hear it worked for you. :)

Yes, we're aware that it's not the most elegant solution but unfortunately we're constrained by how plugins for SSMS and Visual Studio are registered. If you upgrade to later versions of SSMS 18 you shouldn't have any issues.

    Thanks,

After I updated SQL Prompt from 9.5.12 to 9.5.13 in SSMS 17, it became available in SSMS 18. This solution did not require me to uninstall SQL Prompt.

    Hi @JCitro

Yes, updating to a newer version of SQL Prompt when one becomes available will also do the trick. The "uninstall then reinstall" solution is just for customers who don't want to wait for the latest version of the product to get it to show up in SSMS 18. :)

    Thanks,
