SCA on Jenkins Linux Node?

Is it possible to use Jenkins on linux for SCA CI/CD? From what I understand, SCA will only work on a Jenkins node that is running on a Windows OS. Can anyone confirm?

Apparently linux Jenkins nodes won't fly.
