Monitor SQL2016 in GCP (Google Cloud VM)

I install mssql 2016 in google cloud vm , and while I add server from local machine (not same net) , it always shows <span> HRESULT: 0x80070776.<br>I try open all firewall , and modify WMI tcp port and specify SQL to port 1433 , but all failed.<br>What am I missing ??<br>I even install another VM and install MSSQL2012 , also have same error .</span>

That said, you listed WMI and SQL, what about RPC and SMB? Take a look here and see if you've opened all these things: https://documentation.red-gate.com/sm8/configuring-sql-monitor/adding-servers-to-monitor/adding-servers-on-a-different-network-from-your-base-monitor.
We've never looked into how GCP works to be honest and there's just no guarantee that the things we're looking for are even accessible, but I don't really see why adding a VM shouldn't work, but it's not something we've tested.
